How does multitasking work on the iPhone Duo’s 7.6-inch display, and how durable is the folding hinge?

When opened to the 7.6-inch inner canvas, iOS 27 provides seamless desktop-like multitasking. You can run two full iPhone applications side-by-side in Split View, drag-and-drop text, images, or files between apps, or slide in a third floating utility window. Partially folding the device engages Flex Mode—placing video content or FaceTime participants on the upper display while dedicating the lower display to controls, keyboards, or notes. For durability, the iPhone Duo features Apple's precision zero-gap multi-gear hinge engineered with high-strength Grade 5 Titanium and liquidmetal components, rated to endure hundreds of thousands of folds. The folding display is reinforced with ultra-flexible glass under Ceramic Shield 2 and coated with an anti-reflective Nano-Texture finish, complete with an IP68 water resistance rating up to 6 meters for 30 minutes.
